Worked with Muscle Mechanic for 5 years. I'm the only one in my age group (78) who still dances -- tango, rumba - disco, etc. The only who still walks a mile or two a day. The only one who doesn't use a cane. Muscle Mechanic -- if I wore a hat, I'd take it off for you.

Brant is the real deal !
I met Brant years ago as my personal trainer. I moved away from NYC, but have always stayed in touch. His recommendations and advise about working out and keeping my body in line has been extremely valuable over the past 15 years.

Recently I had the opportunity and great fortune to see him in person. It changed my life. Here's my story:

I am a 57 yr old man still actively playing 6 months of Softball. I play 4 times a week from Apr thru Sept. My body usually falls apart by the end of May, and, I drag my worn out legs, knees, shoulders, elbows, and entire body thru the next few 4 months praying I don't get seriously injured.

So...Brant turned me onto posturology.
I was skeptical at first. Not anymore !!! I just played a softball tournament and 12 games in row without an injury or even a need to bench myself due to pain or excessive soreness. Also...Brant corrected my eyes and body into perfect alignment. I was crushing the ball. I hit the fence at 305 ft not once but 6 times.
This was the most productive season I have had since I was in my early 40s.
Overheard on the bench from my 24 year old Short stop..."I hope I can smack the ball like that at 57"
Thank Brant

Problems with knees, balance difficulties, and spinal curvature led to increasing difficulty with posture, walking, and coordination. Brant worked with me to help alleviate pain associated with my body's compensatory efforts in a patient, listening, and upbeat way, using a wide range of tools from his vast knowledge of body kinetics, neuromuscular behavior, and motion evolution. His approach is an eclectic blend of a variety of practices that he weaves ingeniously into a an individual treatment plan. He has helped me enormously; I highly endorse him.  5 stars.

Brant has saved my life twice. Once, 7 years ago, I was hit by a car. With the way I landed, it affected my right arm - the one I use and need to work (computer). It was partially frozen. He used the MAT method (muscle activation technique), which was painful but very effective. I think I saw him for 2 months. I was healed forever.

Recently, I hurt my left foot running, which has given me a very painful plantar fasciitis. But before this incident, my feet kept cramping and just being painful. I went to Brant yesterday with a list full of complaints. I didn't think that I would be 90% fixed but I was. Using his Posturology technique/methodology, he fixed the majority of my problems. I was misaligned, thanks to my hip. Fixing my problems with postural squares (I think that they are magnets - you put them at the soles of your feet), keeps me aligned and pain free. I have to also do eye exercises to keep me balanced. I'm going to continue going to him for a couple of Muscle Activation Techniques sessions, just to improve on my muscles and I should be good to go.

If you are in pain and no doctor/specialist can/could help you, GO TO BRANT! You'll be happy that you did. Nothing is worse than living in pain or disease. I know! The difference between yesterday morning and yesterday evening put a smile on my face and in a good mood.

If you're considering going to see Brant, you must! It's the best thing you can do for yourself. I was in a horrible car accident and had tried everything for 2 years (acupuncture, rolfing, chiropractor, massage, and physical therapy)! I went from being a rock and ice climber to not being able to walk. I began walking again but had a lot of pain. Brant has given me HOPE! I finally feel like I'm on my way to doing what I love. He listens, take it all in, and then figures out how to fix you. Did I mention I commute from Rhode Island to see him? SO WORTH EVERY PENNY!

am SO grateful that my husband ran into Brant in the elevator! That's how we found out about him. And he's been a lifesaver!
I had a back injury when I was 22 years old, got the lamest PT treatment ever, and never completely became strong again after that. At 26 yrs I tore my left miniscus, suffered a knee injury to my right knee 4 years later, and had foot surgery on my right foot 4 years after that. Finally, I gave birth to 2 children while in my 40s.
All those traumatic events had left my body wrecked: even when I exercised and did yoga, I was still not pain free. I was a walking mess, and getting worse and worse. i had a wonderful chiropractor, but the root problems were not going away.
After my first visit with Brant I was absolutely amazed: not only had we made significant progress in just one visit, but I retained the ground we had gained throughout the week. As we had a few more sessions I couldn't believe how much better I was feeling, how freely I was moving; balanced, aligned.
Sadly, I then suffered 2 serious foot injuries in one year (!!) so my sessions with Brant were postponed until I could travel again (well over a year!) Since then we have resumed our sessions, and he has been amazing yet again!  The long term foot problems left me body out of whack in every conceivable (and inconceivable!) way. Brant has worked thoughtfully and purposefully to tackle the pain issues, imbalance, muscle response (or lack thereof) and alignment as these issues have moved and progressed.
His experience and wealth of knowledge are evident-as my situation is a serious challenge!-and he has been doing an incredible job of identifying the deep-set sources of pain and dysfunction, and treating them. It's my challenge to make sure that I am following up with my at-home exercises, but when I do, we make great progress.
I am looking forward to a better spring and a great summer! Thank you, Brant!!

Brant has changed my health and my life in more ways than I can possibly account for here. In my early 30's I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I was in constant pain in my knees and shoulders and was moving like a man twice my age. I started training with Brant after trying with several other trainers and I immediately saw improvement. He took the time and did the research to understand the disease and took great care in helping me to move again. My rheumatologist was literally astonished at the improvements we achieved in a year. When Brant started to study Muscle Activation Technique I was an enthusiastic participant during his course of study and have continued to see him during the years since. I have had migraines a couple times a month since I was in high school. I haven't had a migraine in at least 2 years. Through patient testing Brant was able to figure out the cause and within a month or two I no longer had migraines. Brant also helped me when I had surgery last year. Part of one kidney was removed and some major muscles in my back were cut through during the surgery. Brant worked with me before the surgery and I started seeing him again three weeks after. I was supposed to be out of work for six weeks but was able to return in four weeks. I credit Brant and MAT for my speedy recovery. He genuinely cares about his clients and takes the time to understand any health or personal issues that could be affecting the body. I never feel like he is watching the clock or not paying close attention to me when he is working. He cares not only about the work but about the person he is working with. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I initially met Brant at a networking event and learned more about Muscle Activation Technique (MAT). He offered a free treatment. Well, anyone who knows me is aware that I jump at a free offer. It's part of what I refer to as "Barry's good deals" (the name thought up by Brant, by the way). I was amazed at the results after 1 session and immediately signed up for a package of 10. In conjunction with MAT, Brant became my personal trainer. We worked out together twice a week mixing it up with Pilates and straightforward hard core training. Because Brant was familiar with my body as a result of the MAT sessions, he was able to focus on the areas where I needed the most help during our training sessions and made sure to activate those muscles that needed to work better. Since I have worked with Brant over several months, my back and hip problems have dramatically improved. I have better posture and my body feels better overall. It's all thanks to Brant working with me. Brant is a master of his craft and he is also a terrific man. We have become good friends in the process. I respect and admire his work ethic and the quality of care he provides to all of his clients. I have referred friends to Brant and they have all come back to me to say how much he has improved their day to day body function and are grateful to me for the recommendation. I highly recommend Brant for MAT, personal training. He'll become a friend in the process. Cheers to you, Brant
